Maybe the most remarkable thing about Jeff was how many close friends he had. He was the best man at my wedding, he was the best man at our older brother Darin’s wedding, and he was the best man at our friend Ari’s wedding. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone else with the capacity to be so many people’s best friend. He was never without a smile. He was one of the most alive people I’ve ever met, and that is why his death is so hard for me to grasp.

Another thing about Jeff that was so wonderful was the fact that he always truly lived his dreams. Jeff was never the type to dream of being a big fish in a small pond; it was more natural for him to seek a bigger pond. When we were kids growing up in small-town Colorado, he dreamed of going to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and he did. While we attended school together there, Jeff dreamed of working for a technology company in the San Francisco bay area, and he did.

Jeff was one of the smartest people I’ve ever met, and as he made his way quickly up the corporate ladder, he made a life for himself that allowed him to to live yet another dream - traveling to an amazing assortment of exotic locales. We all took it as a matter of course when we heard his dream wedding would be on a beautiful beach in Mexico, and, it was. When he and Tiffany started dreaming of living in Australia, I knew it would only be a matter of time before they did.

As it turned out, the only pond big enough for Jeff was the whole world.

Jeff taught me lots of things, but I will never forget the most important lesson I’ve learned from my great friend and brother, Jeff. Live the life you love, and live it to the fullest.

We love you,
-Terry

Jeff and I grew up together and news of his death made me think of all his fun qualities and times we shared. Eventhough we had lost touch after college, I had heard that he was living the life of his dreams. After seeing this site it definitely looks like he was. Although I have never met you Tiff, I am sure you are a special fun person as that is the only kind for Jeff. I cannot think of any words to express how sad I am that you and the world are without Jeff. He will be greatly missed.

Tiffany,

I had the pleasure of working with and knowing Jeff "Jelo" as he was known to all I am sure for a short while at iSyndicate. My deepest sympathies and our prayers for you and your family.

I worked with Jeff at iSyndicate as well. He was always so sweet with a great sense of humor. I spent many hours camped out at his desk, while he helped me figure out one icky problem or another. And his DJ skills elevated our parties to a whole new level!

I'm extremely sorry to hear about his passing - he will definitely be missed.

When it comes to friends I am sorry to say i don't have many. Maybe I am too picky or maybe I subconsciously believe in quality not quantity. Jeff was right up there at the top of my list. Many of my most favorite memories have Jeff in there somewhere. Even though the Atlantic separated us for most of the time, when we did meet again we picked up from where we left off as if we had never been apart. I will still look forward to our next meeting.

Tiff I am so sorry. I am crestfallen. God alone knows how you feel.
